Overview: What does a Cosmetologist do?
Barbers and cosmetologists, also called hairdressers and hairstylists, help people look neat and well-groomed. Manicurists and pedicurists work exclusively on nails and provide manicures, pedicures, coloring, and nail extensions to clients. Good health and stamina are important, because these workers are on their feet for most of their shift. Prolonged exposure to some hair and nail chemicals may cause irritation.
