Terms of Service

Last updated 11 August 2026

These terms govern your use of JobQuiz (the “Service”), operated by JobQuiz (“we”, “us”). By taking the career test, creating an account or starting a subscription, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

JobQuiz is closed to new members

As of 11 August 2026, JobQuiz no longer offers new subscriptions or purchases. The terms below continue to govern existing subscriptions and past purchases, including how billing, cancellation and refunds work. Existing members keep full access to everything they paid for while their subscription is active, and can cancel any time from their account page.

1. What JobQuiz is

The career test was free to take: 63 questions, no account and no payment details required. It is no longer offered.

At the end of the test JobQuiz offered your custom career report: a document built from your own answers, in 11 sections, covering every one of the careers we score, the ones that fit you best and the ones that suit you least, what they pay, and the kinds of work that give you energy. It opens in your browser immediately and stays at a permanent link. It also comes with the ability to ask questions about your own report and get answers built from your results. That answering is software. It is not a person, not a licensed careers adviser, and its answers are generated.

The report costs $19.99 today and $19.99 a month after that. There is no free trial. Section 2 sets out the billing and how to cancel.

Depending on when you signed up or how you reached us, you may instead be on, or be offered, one of our older subscription plans. Those unlock your full ranking together with one short interactive lesson per day, built from real tasks in a career you choose, and re-rank your matches around the parts of the work you enjoy. They are a yearly plan that starts with a free 3-day trial, or a monthly plan that is billed today with no trial. Section 2 sets out the billing for each.

Depending on how you reach us, you may instead be offered a monthly plan at $17.00 that opens with a free 3-day trial, a $4.99 monthly plan charged today with no trial, or a one-time purchase of your top 10 matches for $12.00 with no subscription. Section 2 covers these as well.

You may also be offered the $5.99 monthly plan, which opens with a free 7-day trial. It gives you your full career report, including every career ranked, what each one pays and the careers that suit you least, together with an AI career coach you can talk to each day that has your results and remembers your previous conversations. The coach is software. It is not a person, not a licensed careers adviser, and its answers are generated. Section 2 sets out the billing.

JobQuiz is an educational and self-assessment product. It is not career counselling, recruitment, or a guarantee of any employment outcome. Your matches are a model's best estimate from your answers, not professional advice, and you should not treat them as the sole basis for an education or career decision.

2. Subscription, billing and renewal

Career report at $19.99 a month — the terms in plain language

This plan has no free trial. Your card is charged $19.99 today and your report is available immediately, then it renews at $19.99 each month until you cancel. The amount, that it is charged today, and that it repeats monthly are all shown on the payment sheet before you enter any card details.

The report itself is yours to keep permanently, whatever happens to the subscription. The monthly charge is for being able to keep asking questions about it. Cancel and nothing further is charged: you keep the report and lose only the asking.

How to cancel, and this plan is different. It does not require an account, so cancelling is not on the account page. Your receipt email contains a personal manage link that cancels in two taps, and the same link is on the payment sheet before you pay. If you have lost it, email us and we will cancel for you.

30-day money-back guarantee. If you do not think the report was worth what you paid, email us within 30 days of the purchase and we refund it in full, with no reason required. See our refund policy.

Yearly plan — the terms in plain language

The yearly plan starts with 3 free days. We collect your payment method at signup but charge nothing during the free period. On day 3 the subscription begins and your card is automatically charged $72.00 for the year, then renews each year until you cancel. The exact date of that first charge is shown before you enter payment details and again in the email we send when your trial begins. You can cancel at any time, in two taps, from your account page. Cancel before day 3 and you are never charged.

Monthly plan — the terms in plain language

The monthly plan has no free trial. Your card is charged $12.99 today and the subscription starts immediately, then renews at $12.99 each month until you cancel. The amount and that it is charged today are shown before you enter payment details. You can cancel at any time, in two taps, from your account page; cancelling stops the next charge and you keep access until the end of the month you have paid for.

$17.00 monthly plan with a free trial — the terms in plain language

This plan starts with 3 free days. We collect your payment method at signup but charge nothing during the free period. On day 3 the subscription begins and your card is automatically charged $17.00 for the month, then renews each month at $17.00 until you cancel. The exact date of that first charge is shown before you enter payment details and again in the email we send when your trial begins. You can cancel at any time, in two taps, from your account page. Cancel before day 3 and you are never charged.

$5.99 monthly plan with a free week — the terms in plain language

This plan starts with 7 free days, which is longer than the free trial on our other plans. We collect your payment method at signup but charge nothing during the free period. On day 7 the subscription begins and your card is automatically charged $5.99 for the month, then renews each month at $5.99 until you cancel. The exact date of that first charge is shown before you enter payment details, is on your account page from the moment you start, and we email you before it is taken. You can cancel at any time, in two taps, from your account page. Cancel before day 7 and you are never charged.

$4.99 monthly plan — the terms in plain language

This plan has no free trial. Your card is charged $4.99 today and the subscription starts immediately, then renews at $4.99 each month until you cancel. The amount and that it is charged today are shown before you enter payment details. You can cancel at any time, in two taps, from your account page; cancelling stops the next charge and you keep access until the end of the month you have paid for.

One-time top 10 matches — the terms in plain language

This is a single $12.00 charge today, not a subscription. It unlocks your top 10 career matches, delivered immediately on a private link. There is no free trial, no renewal and nothing further to cancel. The amount and that it is charged today are shown before you enter payment details. Because it is delivered at once, it is not refundable on a change of mind; the full-refund cases in our refund policy still apply.

Other one-time purchases — the terms in plain language

Alongside a report we sometimes offered small one-time purchases, such as keeping a report permanently (a PDF and a permanent link) or an optional tip. Each was a single charge, shown before you paid, delivered immediately, with no subscription, no renewal and nothing to cancel.

Pay what you want to start — the terms in plain language

You choose what you pay today, from $0 up to $12. Whatever you pay today is a one-time, non-refundable unlock fee (choosing $0 means no charge today). Either way your 3-day free trial begins, and on day 3 your card is charged $72.00 for the year, renewing annually until you cancel. The exact amount today and the renewal date are shown before you enter payment details. Cancel any time before day 3 and the $72.00 is never charged; the annual charge, once made, is refundable under our refund policy, but the amount you chose to pay today is not.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax we are required to collect. We may change the price of a subscription, but not without telling you by email first and not before your next renewal, so you always have the chance to cancel.

If a payment fails we will email you and retry over several days. Your access continues during that period. If payment ultimately does not succeed, the subscription ends.

3. Cancelling and refunds

On the career report plan, cancel from the personal manage link in your receipt email; it takes two taps and needs no account. Cancelling stops the next monthly charge and you keep the report permanently.

On every other plan, cancel from your account page at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you keep access until then rather than losing it the moment you cancel, and you will not be billed again. You can resume before that date from the same page.

The first time you cancel, we may offer you additional free days before the cancellation completes. This offer is made once per subscription, is free, and declining it cancels your plan immediately from the same screen. Accepting means you are not charged during those days; you can cancel at any time within them, and normal billing resumes afterwards unless you do.

You can get half of the annual charge back if you cancel within 14 days of it, directly from your account page. See our cancellation and refund policy for exactly when and how we refund.

4. Your account

The career report does not require an account. The link you are given is the entitlement: anyone holding it can open the report, so treat it like a password and do not post it anywhere public. We will create an account for you if we have your email address, but nothing depends on it.

The other paid plans do need an account. You are responsible for keeping access to the email address on it, since we sign you in with a link sent there. Do not share your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create one.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Where the breach is not serious, we will normally contact you first.

6. Content and intellectual property

The lessons, the career taxonomy, the matching model and everything else that makes up the Service belong to us or our licensors. Your subscription is a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them while it is active, and nothing more.

Lesson content, and the answers you get when you ask questions about your report, are generated with the help of AI. We work hard to make them accurate and genuinely representative of the work, but they are educational material rather than professional instruction, and they may contain errors. Do not rely on them as guidance for real-world professional, legal, medical, financial or safety-critical decisions. If you are in distress, they are not a substitute for a doctor or a crisis line.

Your quiz answers and your progress belong to you. See the privacy policy for what we do with them.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the Service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, or the Service as a whole. If the Service is to be discontinued entirely, we will tell you by email first, with enough notice to cancel before your next renewal.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any career, education, or financial decision you make. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits any right you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights or what you pay, we will email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
