Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of JobQuiz (the “Service”), operated by PizzaParties LLC (“JobQuiz,” “we,” “us”). By taking the career test, creating an account, or subscribing, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What JobQuiz is

JobQuiz provides a career-orientation test and AI-assisted career coaching sessions for self-reflection and exploration. The Service — including any AI coach (“Luma”) and the insights, maps, and suggestions it produces — is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is not professional career, legal, financial, medical, or mental-health advice, and it is not a substitute for a licensed professional. You are responsible for any decisions you make.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service. By using JobQuiz you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Accounts

We use passwordless “magic link” sign-in. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly at jobquiz@fastmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions, free trial, and billing

• JobQuiz coaching is offered as a recurring subscription. Pricing, trial length, and billing interval are shown at checkout (currently a 3-day free trial, then $29 per month unless stated otherwise).
• Your trial converts automatically. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be charged the then-current subscription price, and again at the start of each billing period, until you cancel.
• You can cancel anytime from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current trial or paid period; you keep access until then. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, and we do not provide partial-period refunds.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. Your use of payment features is also subject to Stripe’s terms.
• We may change prices or features. Material changes to recurring pricing will be communicated before they take effect for you.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes;
• attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Service or its AI systems;
• share your account or resell access without our permission;
• submit content that infringes others’ rights or that you have no right to share.

6. Your content and your data

You retain ownership of the answers, reflections, and other content you provide. You grant us a limited license to process that content to operate and improve the Service (for example, to generate your map and run coaching sessions), as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. AI-generated content

Coaching responses are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not suited to your situation. Do not rely on them as professional advice. We make no guarantee of any particular career, income, or other outcome.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, content, and trademarks, is owned by PizzaParties LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable laws. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the Service; no other rights are granted.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PizzaParties LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $50.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Some provisions (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in the State of South Carolina will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
